Frankfurt to Travemünde

Well, this was at some times like Essingeleden on 8x speed. Dense traffic and highway-speed. In particular the black BMW ‘5-and-up series’ cars must be unbreakable- even in poring rain and no visibility. In a motorbike, 84 cm over the concrete, with goretex as only life-saver, in 130kms/h you don’t take chances, do you. I pulled in to have a weather break at a gas station (yes they robbed me 1EUR for a toilet use). I met this brave young Swede who’d been driving home from Marbella “this Monday” on a demo KTM890. He admitted that the stretches had been “ a little long” ( day before +1200kms).

A big 🤚 for GMC Karlstad (where my T120 comes from). We had company on some small detour countryside roads before we split.

This is an adventure bike, mine is a tourer, pretending to be such a bike..🥹

So? Today’s stretch from Frankfurt a M was only 580 kms. I am comfortable seated in a chair, on a Finnlines ferry (the “Finnfellow) departing from Travemünde and arriving in Malmo tomorrow at 07.00. To sum it up: From Malaga in the Mediterranean to Malmö in Oresund Monday 4th to Thursday 14th of May.
